Instead, by speaking the truth in a spirit of love, we must grow up in every way to Christ, who is the head. ~ Ephesians 4:15 ~ GNT

This is little girl surprised me by speaking the spirit of truth in love at least twice this weekend. Saturday evening, we were having a movie night, which at Nana’s house includes fresh popped corn, with salt and butter. Anne-Sophie was munching on a bowl of popcorn and placed it on the floor. “Nana,” she said, “I miss Kiko, but now I can put my bowl on the floor, and he won’t eat the popcorn.”
Then this morning, we were getting in one last playtime in the yard. She and her sister were running around the yard with pinwheels, delighting in the way they could make them spin. She pulled up next to me and said, “I miss Kiko, but now you don’t need to pick up dog poop in the yard.”
How kindly worded, two truths spoken in love.
She’s a little girl who can get into verbal arguments with her younger sister, and super competitive, both age-appropriate behaviors. And in these two moments, wise beyond her years.
Thanks, Anne-Sophie. ~ Nana
