O Lord, you have examined my heart and know everything about me. ~ Psalm 139:1 NLT
After several days under the weather, seven-year-old granddaughter Marie-Hélène, sent this chat via WhatsApp:

“Happy valentines day!”
My daughter-in-law and I both responded with the words “Thank you!!!” and “Someone looks like she’s feeling better.” I loved seeing her smiling face, and felt relieved that she was indeed better, especially since she and her sister arrive later today for the long weekend. What tickled me even more was this response from her Papa, “Someone was not supposed to be on her phone.”
She was so busted! She didn’t quite understand yet that the family chat goes to everyone in the family. Lesson learned. I used to believe that my parents had eyes in the back of their heads. They were always, so it seemed, aware of what I hoped had escaped their attention. As annoying as that was, there was also something comforting in knowing that my parents had be on their radar. I was not going to get lost. Marie-Helene might have lost the use of her phone for the rest of the evening. But she learned that Papa loves her, no matter what. And that, dear friends, reflects the God who knows everything about us and loves us all the more! ~ Anne
